They also act as the city’s first line of defense against living dungeons.

They’re a bit like the WGA or SAG. They are led by working professionals by people who don’t really care to be told what to do.
They have an elected representative to the Low Council. Perhaps they have just one, perhaps more. This is often a retirement package or consolation prize for adventurers that have sustained an injury that ended their careers.

The Adventurous are inspired by The Pathfinders from Paizo’s Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, the Delvers’ Guild from Monte Cook’s Ptolus: City by the Spire, and countless other roleplaying products and works of fiction.
